The use of subscripts and superscripts in Unicode allows any <a href="/facts/Polynomial/Lzak8VVx">polynomial</a>, <a href="/facts/Chemical_equation/S6QsBnm9">chemical</a> and certain other <a href="/facts/Equation/pxFzLAVR">equations</a> to be represented in plain text without using any form of <a href="/facts/Markup_language/WwhlNVIu">markup</a> like <a href="/facts/HTML/sSc3fT78">HTML</a> or <a href="/facts/TeX/HDrl3Yvd">TeX</a>.
