It has a <a href="/facts/Half-life/kGVH8BAB">half-life</a> of a little under ten minutes, so it must be made at the PET site. A <a href="/facts/Cyclotron/Q8APwhWm">cyclotron</a> may be used for this purpose. </p><p>Nitrogen-13 is used to tag <a href="/facts/Ammonia/MtLtJFtz">ammonia</a> molecules for PET <a href="/facts/Myocardial_perfusion_imaging/fqu6TaN8">myocardial perfusion imaging</a>. </p>
