The cities were located on opposite banks of the <a href="/facts/Feng_River/679lEUgG">Feng River</a> near its confluence with the <a href="/facts/Wei_River/yqGEA5W5">Wei</a>, corresponding to modern <a href="/facts/Xi%2527an/yaIdymtu">Xi'an</a>, Shaanxi. </p>
