<h2 id="career">Career</h2> <p>Jungermann is originally from Florida and moved to New York City via North Carolina. They graduated from <a href="/facts/New_York_University_Tisch_School_of_the_Arts/fJ7SwTte">New York University Tisch School of the Arts</a> (NYU), with an <a href="/facts/Master_of_Fine_Arts/bugR7BzX">MFA</a>.<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:2" href="#fn:2"><sup>2</sup></a> Jungermann was selected one of the "25 New Faces of 2012" by <i><a href="/facts/Filmmaker_(magazine)/yn5vqjKN">Filmmaker</a></i> magazine.<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:3" href="#fn:3"><sup>3</sup></a> In 2017, they were a recipient of the <a href="/facts/Sundance_Institute/Rbzr1RXC">Sundance FilmTwo Fellowship</a>.<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:4" href="#fn:4"><sup>4</sup></a> </p><p>Jungermann created their breakout web series <i>The Slope</i> with <a href="/facts/Desiree_Akhavan/4wmmmh4B">Desiree Akhavan</a> while the two were postgraduate film students at NYU.<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:5" href="#fn:5"><sup>5</sup></a><a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:6" href="#fn:6"><sup>6</sup></a> </p> <h2 id="personal-life">Personal life</h2> <p>Ingrid Jungermann identifies as non-binary, polyamorous, and queer.<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:7" href="#fn:7"><sup>7</sup></a> Jungermann uses they/them pronouns.<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:8" href="#fn:8"><sup>8</sup></a> <a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:9" href="#fn:9"><sup>9</sup></a> They publicly stated "I think you should demand to be called a queer filmmaker.
